This year, Bvlgari takes inspiration from its extensive archives to launch the Bvlgari Tubogas collection, a nod to the Maison's groundbreaking approach to luxury jewelry. Drawing from the iconic Tubogas technique, which has long defined its avant-garde style, Bvlgari reinvents this hallmark design with a fresh lineup of pieces crafted in yellow gold.
The Tubogas method, first introduced in the 1940s, is inspired by the industrial pipes used to transport gas in the 1920s. Bvlgari adopted this distinctive technique during the Art Déco era, seamlessly weaving it into its bold, innovative aesthetic. This hallmark craftsmanship not only became a signature of the Maison’s designs but also set the stage for its unique approach to high-end jewelry.
At the heart of the new collection is a meticulous process where two gold strips are wound around a core, interlocking without the need for soldering. The result is a collection of flexible, yet highly durable pieces, built to last and crafted with exceptional precision. This artisanal technique was first introduced in the creation of the iconic Serpenti Tubogas watch in 1948, before becoming a staple in Bvlgari’s design language in the 1970s.
Honoring its legacy, Bvlgari presents the latest Tubogas collection in 18-carat yellow gold, offering a range of bracelets, necklaces, and other designs that reflect the brand's DNA. The core of the collection includes three bracelet styles in yellow gold, trigold, and pavé studs, each complemented by matching necklaces. Additionally, the Tubogas Parentesi collection takes inspiration from Roman pavements, blending bold ‘70s aesthetics with the Maison's Italian heritage.
New to the collection are three necklace designs featuring a triangular shape—a style previously unseen in Bvlgari’s repertoire. This design reflects the ongoing experimentation of Bvlgari’s artisans, who push the limits of innovative craftsmanship while maintaining the brand’s timeless elegance.
As part of the collection’s launch, Bvlgari also expands its renowned Serpenti range with two yellow gold jewelry sets. These sets include a necklace and ring combination, as well as a bracelet with a unique design where the snake’s head can be opened and adjusted, adding an element of personal customization to this storied line.
