The Weeknd Announces Final Album of After Hours Trilogy: Hurry Up Tomorrow

The Weeknd is set to conclude his After Hours trilogy with a highly anticipated final album titled Hurry Up Tomorrow. While no official release date has been confirmed, excitement is building for the project, which will serve as a follow-up to 2020’s After Hours and 2022’s Dawn FM.

A teaser video released for Hurry Up Tomorrow featured an eerie, cryptic message that sets the tone for the album. The scrolling text read:

“Yesterday was fourteen years ago… we held our breath falling into a shimmering sea in the after hours of the night. Attempted to cleanse the wounds with melodies and lights, a bulletproof bandage to shield what lies beneath."

The teaser continued: "In a place where the seasons never changed, where time ceased to exist. But therein lays the problem. Today has felt like an endless spin. I keep distorting the truth, immune to dizziness, numb to the nausea. What lies beneath screams in silence. I look in the mirror and feel both old and new, stuck in limbo and unable to move. I still haven’t faced myself.”

This enigmatic preview has sparked speculation about the themes of the album, with fans eager to see how The Weeknd will conclude the introspective and surreal journey that began with After Hours.

To celebrate the announcement, The Weeknd will be performing a special one-night-only show at Estádio Morumbi in São Paulo, Brazil, on Saturday, September 7. The event will be livestreamed on YouTube, giving fans worldwide a chance to witness the performance.
