Ronaldo announced the launch on Instagram, writing, “The wait is over. My @YouTube channel is finally here! SIUUUbscribe and join me on this new journey.” The channel was an instant hit, becoming the fastest YouTube channel to reach one million subscribers. Just days after its launch, “UR Cristiano” has already amassed 29.4 million subscribers, a number that continues to grow rapidly.
YouTube recognized Ronaldo’s achievement by sending him the coveted gold “play button” plaque, awarded to channels that surpass one million subscribers. Ronaldo shared a video on Instagram of his children playing with the plaque, captioning it, “A present for my family ❤️ Thank you to all the SIUUUbscribers!”
Within just 90 minutes of its launch, Ronaldo’s channel broke the world record for the fastest channel to reach one million subscribers. In doing so, he surpassed Lionel Messi’s YouTube subscriber count of 2.31 million, further solidifying his dominance on and off the field. With 170 million followers on Facebook, 112.6 million on X, and 636 million on Instagram, Ronaldo’s social media presence is unmatched.
