Citizen Unveils New Satellite Wave X Watches, Celebrating 10 Years of Space-Connected Timekeeping

A decade after the launch of the groundbreaking Satellite Wave F100, Citizen is introducing two new iterations in the Satellite Wave series. These latest models continue the legacy of receiving time signals from orbiting satellites, showcasing both cutting-edge specifications and space-inspired aesthetics.

Crafted from Super Titanium™ with Citizen’s proprietary Duratect Titanium Carbide DLC coating, the new Satellite Wave X watches offer a toughness that is five times more resistant than stainless steel. The robust round watch case, featuring distinctive triangular corners on the right-hand side, measures 45.5mm in width and 12.7mm in thickness, making a bold statement on the wrist.

The dials, available in intense black or deep blue, are accented with glittering details that evoke the mysticism and vastness of outer space. Powering these timepieces is the F150 movement, equipped with an Eco-Drive that can run for up to 7 years on a full charge when in power save mode. The metal bracelet, inspired by satellite solar panels, enhances the futuristic design.

The new Citizen Satellite Wave X watches will be available for purchase in September, each priced at £1,395 GBP (approximately $1,843 USD).
