Jennifer Lopez's highly anticipated "This is Me ... Live" tour has been canceled before it even began.
The singer and actress has decided to cancel her 2024 summer tour to spend more time with her children, family, and close friends, according to a statement released by concert promoter Live Nation on Friday.
"I am completely heartsick and devastated about letting you down," Lopez shared in a message to her fans via her OntheJLo newsletter. "Please know that I wouldn’t do this if I didn’t feel that it was absolutely necessary. I promise I will make it up to you and we will all be together again. I love you all so much. Until next time…"
The cancellation follows reports of disappointing ticket sales for the tour, initially announced in February to support her "This is Me ... Now" album and film. After several cancellations in March and a rebranding in April to focus on her greatest hits, sales reportedly began to improve. However, sources close to Lopez confirmed that sales were not a factor in her decision to cancel the tour.
This news comes amid growing speculation about Lopez's personal life, specifically her marriage to Oscar-winning actor Ben Affleck. The couple, who married in 2022 after rekindling their early 2000s romance in 2021, are rumored to be facing marital issues and possibly living apart. Neither Lopez nor Affleck has publicly addressed these rumors, though Lopez recently rebuked a reporter for inquiring about her marriage while she was promoting her Netflix film "Atlas."
Live Nation confirmed that those who purchased tickets through Ticketmaster would receive automatic refunds. Customers who bought tickets through third-party resale sites should contact their original point of purchase for further details.
