Throughout her journey, she experienced a mix of highs and lows, which ultimately led her to establish multiple thriving brands - Including Aqua de Vida Skincare, Candy Stacka and The Purple Panda Agency, a fast-growing marketing firm based in Sydney, Australia.
A decade ago, Cassandra took her first steps into the realm of marketing, gradually accumulating knowledge and honing her skills as she progressed. However, it was in 2018 that she took a leap of faith into the world of entrepreneurship with Aqua de Vida, offering Australian-made, natural, vegan, cruelty-free skincare products. She admits, "I knew nothing about starting or running a business back then. It was a steep learning curve, filled with many setbacks and losses." From overpaying for unsatisfactory services to falling victim to fraudulent deals, Cassandra encountered her fair share of challenges in the early stages of entrepreneurship.
In the face of challenges, Cassandra made a transformative pivot when she realised that her current approach wasn't getting her the results she desired. This led her to venture into uncharted territory, embracing new skills and taking charge of her business's marketing needs. Her bold decision resulted in a complete overhaul of Aqua de Vida's e-commerce website, sparking a journey of self-discovery and confidence in her ability to make an impact in the world of marketing.
During the 2021 Covid lockdown, Cassandra Gabra started The Purple Panda Agency from her bedroom. Within seven months, she moved into a large office space in Rockdale with a whole team. The rapid growth, fuelled by Instagram and word-of-mouth referrals, validated Cassandra's unique approach to marketing.
Her journey, however, took an unexpected turn when tragedy struck. In September 2021, she lost her beloved brother Ramez, a major source of creative inspiration. His loss was a profound blow to Cassandra, however, she channelled that grief into passion for the agency, making it a tribute to him.
She says, “Ramez created a company called Brainspiration many years ago in which he created motivational wall art/posters to lift people's spirits. He always spoke about wanting to help people or make a difference in the world in some way. He had plans to create a new website and re-launch the business but unfortunately, his life got cut short before he could do that. I found all of his artworks on his hard drive so I took it upon myself to create a brand new website for him with over 60 of his artworks in order to continue his legacy. The aim is to inspire people through his art with 100% of profits going towards bringing joy and support to sick and special needs children in hospitals.”

She firmly believes that a well-crafted marketing strategy is pivotal for business success.
